Limited edition block prints 

Birds always fascinated me. As a kid we had an aviary in the garden and I was browsing the vintage animal encyclopedias for hours. Drawing books full of fantasy animals and birds.

Years later, at the Willem de Kooning Academy, I got in touch with the vintage printing presses. I knew this was the perfect tool to create a series of small works with birds as subject. Every species has its own personality and I try to show that character in stylized linocuts.
